The Ford Explorer can be equipped with an engine that makes up to 395 horsepower, which is more than the conventional engines of the Grand Cherokee. We say conventional because you can pay an incredible amount to upgrade to trims that offer 475 or 707 horsepower, but most drivers won't be looking at SUVs that range over $67,000.
A Difference in Cargo Space
The Ford Explorer offers more space than the Grand Cherokee does for your cargo. The Explorer has an impressive 21 cubic feet of space behind the rear row and an impressive 81.7 cubic feet of space when all of the seats are folded. The Jeep Grand Cherokee maxes out at 68.3 cubic feet of cargo space.
A More Refined Look
